About Us

The Praespero Group [Pronounced press-pero] is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, based in Richmond, Virginia. Our mission is to provide pediatric patients with an enjoyable atmosphere when receiving care. We do this by developing interactive, state of the art rooms for pediatric patients to enjoy while receiving treatment. These rooms will allow patients to take their mind off things by playing games, watching videos, experiencing virtual reality, and much more.

We started the non-profit in 2019 focusing specifically on pediatric infusion centers and have since expanded to other pediatric outpatient facilities that we feel meets our core mission and vision. Our last project was an Adolescent Behavioral Health Partial Hospitalization Program, which is a structured, intensive outpatient treatment program for children up to age 18 who need a higher level of care for a serious mental health condition.

Our overall goal is simple - to put a smile on as many kids faces as possible.

Why It's Needed

When children are undergoing medical or psychological treatment, it's important that they don't enter intimidating stark plain white rooms. Our goal is to create a comfortable environment for them and their families, reducing stress and hopefully making the care experience more enjoyable

St. Mary's Adolescent Behavioral Health Partial Hospital Program (PHP)

Grand Opening January 2024

This suite, designed by the Praespero Group, features seven rooms with a cohesive Nature Theme running throughout the space. Each main room showcases a different natural scene, and the hallway is adorned with murals depicting a sunrise to start and a sunset to finish.
